I had a very interesting day yesterday. Last week a tornado came through our neighborhood. Many homes had roof, siding and tree damage. Our roof was damaged. My H has been working a lot and left it to me to deal with calling the roofers, getting estimates, etc.

So yesterday I contacted some roofers and interviewed them. I called 2 neighbors to give me advice. My H was unreachable so I had to make the decisions on my own.

I called the insurance company and dealt with them myself. I hired the roofer I liked and the insurance adjustor is coming over this week to inspect the roof.

I did this all on my own, without my H's input or guidance. I've never done anything like this before. I didn't freak out or say I couldn't do it. I acted like a mature adult and took charge. The roofers were so nice and easy to work with.

I am very proud of myself that I could do this independently and make difficult decisions on my own. This was a big deal for me! I just wanted to share the good feelings I have about this. Thank you.

Good for you. Those kinda things can be daunting, and I'm glad you were able to.

Bravo!! :thumbsup

I hope you'll add this to your Learning Library and refer to it the next time something challenging comes up. You've proven you're capable of working through your hesitations and uncertainties. Great job!
