It's 2 PM and I'm done with one of my finals. I think I did well on it, which is wonderful since I've been floundering through this entire block, specifically with this course. I made good time on this one and I'm confident that I'll do as well on the second. :biggrin I can do it!

Thanks! :shysmile

I am having quite a bit of trouble with the second final. Some of the material is confusing for me, and some of it is TEDIOUS.

I'm not panicking yet. I have at least two hours before I should start panicking.

Oish- sorry, guys. I decided I wasn't going to come back to this thread until I got my grades back. I was ruminating on it.

The classes I were taking were financial management and financial accounting. My major is currently accounting, although I very strongly suspect that will be changing when I go for my Bachelors (I'm only in school for an Associates at the moment).

I got an almost perfect score on my financial management final, which is surprising, since I understood approximately NONE of the material. :shysmile

I lost thirty points on my financial accounting final, because I had an error in a specific section of my accounts and I ran out of time to find and correct it. If I didn't turn it in when I did, I would have gotten a zero. I got an A in Financial Management, and a B+ in Financial Accounting.

Which drops my GPA from 4.0 to 3.9. I actually got upset about that. ):) I have the same instructor for my new accounting class, Managerial Accounting, as I did for Financial Accounting. That instructor gave me a talking-to about letting a .1 drop in my GPA get to me. :))

As a former boss you to LOVe reminding me. Perfect isn't always possible. B is still good, C is still average. So you see how FAR above average you are?

Heh, thanks for the encouragement.

I'm still pretty far above average. However, I'm slipping; it's not that I can't do the work, it's that I'm just NOT. Trying to be merciful on myself and not label it laziness. It's stress and depression.

Whew. I hope I make it another 9 weeks...

There is nothing wrong with letting your grades slip a little to retain your sanity. Obviously it's a slippery slope and you don't wanna fail out, or be letting the grades slip due to apathy and lack of motivation, BUT sometimes your body and mind say stop a little short of the A. And there is nothing wrong with listening to them. :)
