Hi All,

I am bectails. I have had depression/PTSD for a number of years (>15) and about 6 months ago finally got diagnosed as BPD.

I am new around here, and not sure yet how much popping in I will be doing. I have been a member of other sites with a few disasters so am now reluctant to join in, so forgive me if I am a bit shy.

I have started DBT work and so far its going ok, but as most will appreciate some things work for some and something else works for others!

Just wanted to say hi.

Hi bectalis, and welcome to BPDR! I went through DBT myself, and found that the Tools this site offers (see the Tools box on the left of the screen) were in harmony with it and were very helpful. I hope to see you participating as you feel comfortable. jim

Hi bectails. I am glad you found this site. I have been here a few years and have learned a lot! I hope you'll stick around.

I also am learning DBT skills. At first I couldn't get the hang of it, but I perservere and finally had an "aha" moment when I understood the concepts. The Tools at the left mesh perfectly with DBT skills.

I can honestly say I'm much better than I was 3 years ago when I was first diagnosed. Between having a fantastic therapist, learning DBT skills and coming here, I am much better. So I hope we'll get to know you!
