Hi,
27 year old female, diagnosed with BPD 5 months ago, in a very tumultuous relationship with another girl. I think my relationship is my trigger...when things go badly in the relationship (which I feel is almost every day), I start feeling suicidal. It is like my life is worthless if this relationship doesn't work out (I know, it sounds stupid but that's how it feels).

I hate feeling this way. I started therapy almost 2 months ago and I'm on anti-depressants. However, I feel pretty much the same. I don't really know what else to do.

Welcome Kalika! I apologize for the delay in approving your post. We're glad you found us.

I can completely understand how triggering a relationship can be. I know that for me, it was so scary to be vulnerable to being hurt if the relationship went wrong.

I'm glad you found us. I hope you can find some of the support you need from us.

hey there kalika!

first of all, welcome onboard :)

i'm 29, around your age. female :)

just curious, what kinda relationship do you have with this other girl? are you guys very intimate? coz the more intimate you are, the worse the bpd symptoms present themselves....

anyway, just to let you know that recovery is very much possible :) take one step at a time.
antidepressants don't really solve our problem. Perhaps you might want to change the antidepressant that you're on. One more thing, depression is something that can be MANAGED... we can talk more about how to manage it and overcome it if you're interested. i've been through that path....
