Hello Everyone,
I haven't even lurked on this site yet, so I don't know what it's all about, but what I do know is that I'd really like to find a community of people who are suffering from (?) or dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder. I'm a 34 year old female and though I've never been 'officially' diagnosed, it seems that I've been dealing with the cluster of symptoms/problems of BPD since, oh... I was 10. Lots of therapy, tried different meds, lots of really really tumultuous relationships, frequent suicidal thoughts, use of cutting as a 'coping' skill, black and white thinking, the whole enchilada. It seems like therapists perhaps shy away from diagnosing a person with BPD d/t the weird unfixable stigma it carries? At least that's what I've been told. Anyhow, I'm happy to be here. I'm currently on the 15th go-round of a very up and down relationship and I'm wondering if I'll ever learn how to have a 'normal' relationship... so here I am. Thanks for listening.

Hi cricketeeny, and welcome to the board! You don't need an official diagnosis to be here, just be willing to work on your problems with a goal of happier, healthier living.

Have a read around the different forums, and be sure to check out the "Tools" in the box on the left for some techniques that a lot of us find helpful in straightening out our thinking and behavior.

Glad you found us!
