Hi! My name is Aimee and I'm 30. I work full time and am in school part time.

I'm here because I have BPD. (obviously!) I also have BP one, PTSD, Panic Disorder and Eating Disorder NOS. (I often joke that I'm the entire alphabet)

I've been in DBT for eight months now. It's slowly changing my life, the way I react to things, the way I deal with people, and it's made things better for my partner Chris(tine) and I.

I came back to the board because I'm lacking support. I don't have many friends, and I don't want to dump things on Chris.

Besides, you guys get it!

If you're curious, my screenname comes from my favorite Sister Hazel song. I relate it to my recovery

I won't be so hard on me today
I start to take myself so seriously
Shouldn't be so hard just to be effortlessly
It shouldn't be so hard to keep it together
It shouldn't be so hard to say the right things to you
It shouldn't be so hard just to be effortlessly

Weightless worries fall away
Wasted pools of energy
I want to know I want to breathe

Effortlessly - just be
I want to be effortlessly
I want to be

Ok, thats enough of an intro.

Can't wait to talk to you all!

Aimee

Welcome, Aimee! I've got the alphabet soup thing going too, so don't worry. ;) Glad you've come back.

:welcome

I work more or less full time too and am studying for a master's part time. I know how stressful that can get!

Looking forward to getting to know you.
