I emailed BPDR a few months ago to delete my account as I felt I had moved on and wanted the nice gesture of closure I thought it would bring. I didn't receive any word back, so I checked in and saw I was still active. At that time, I figured I would take the chance to give back a little to newbies, especially since the drama seemed to have dissipated.
But I was wrong, it is still here - along with good folks trying hard to help others and get better, of course - and I don't want that unhealthy aspect in my life and I can no longer ignore it and go about my business here. I am also not strong enough to just stay away, I admit that. I wish I was. I have tried, it has not worked. The emotional pull to come back is too strong. Therefore I would respectfully ask my profile be deleted, even if that means I have to be banned.
I appreciate the great contribution this site and its people had in my recovery efforts. I am grateful for all the help, guidance, wisdom, skills, and support I received here over the years. I enjoyed interacting with many people here and I wish for all of those sincerely trying to change, the best of success in life.
peace Marni/oceanheart

I find myself sad and disappointed to read this thread. Not disappointed in you or anything, but disappointed that we have failed you as a board and sad to see that happening to you and others. I wish you all the best, Oceanheart. You will be missed around here.

I respect your decision, but before you go, I wanted to let you know that your reply to my post "what to do when distress tolerance takes up too much time" was very helpful. Your words do make an impact, and they meant a lot to me. I truly wish you all the best in life.

I'm sorry to see it OH, but your request is granted. Should anything change, let us know.

I don't believe we will be deleting any accounts because, from what I've experienced, deleting the account also deletes every and any post from that account. I will not have the board or the community decimated that way.

OH's account has been banned. Sorry, I should have been clearer.
