It's really not our policy to delete accounts (and/or posts attached to those accounts). What's up?

I think you already know the feelings come from inside you, not from the words on the screen.

What're you feeling sheepish about? What are you expecting that's not living up to your hopes?

Sometimes the things I write sound so crazy! Can't I delete them? I really don't want to mess up someone's recovery when I get way off the rail.

Mike,

You won't mess up anybody's recovery....each of us is responsible for our own recovery.....You're not that powerful, ha,ha.....hang in.

I know that seeing your feelings actually put down in print can have a jolting affect at times....I know for me that sometimes I feel more vulnerable and worry that people will think I'm pretty weird, but hey, we're all dealing with pretty much the same stuff in various manifestations.

When I come here and post ... when I read the posts of others ... and see the sometimes radical shifts in thought and mood? Sometimes it may be concerning to me ... even embarrassing ... to read what's been posted, but I recognize the 'inconsistencies' for what they are ... symptoms of the illness ... and I do not see a 'crazy' person, nor is my recovery adversely affected ... but rather, I find that my recovery is generally 'strengthened', as I grow in my understanding of this illness.

:)

hi330n, your post was wonderful! That is such a great point. You're right. You're reading something from a crazy person, but someone in pain who is reaching out. And if one of us doesn't get how that person is feeling, I can almost guarantee you someone else will come along who has gone through something similar and can relate how they handled the situation. I think one of the hardest thing for me to understand was that I was not unique in some respects. I would get embarrassed by my actions and think everyone must think I'm crazy and no one understands. We're not alone.

(Man, I am all sentimental today. March is always a sentimental month. I lost both my dad and maternal grandmother in March. But enough about me...) :)
