Post subject:  Board/Site Problems & Duplicate/Triplicate Posts

Everyone,

Yes, we are aware that there are issues with the server which are adversely affecting the site and the board.

We are also aware of the issue with duplicate/triplicate posting. This happens when the server has a hiccup and can't decide whether or not a post has been made.

When this happens, you don't need to do anything. Please don't post about it, email anyone or PM anyone. When it is seen by a member of the Leadership team, it will be cleaned up. In the meantime, please don't spend your time or effort trying to bring this to anyone's attention. It is a widely-known issue.

Please don't take it personally when it happens. We all know that you're not trying to deliberately post the same thing multiple times. We don't think you're an incompetent fool or a malicious spammer or anything else along that line. Use such instances as an opportunity to practice your Radical Acceptance and move on. If need be, apply the Four Agreements and check for Twisted Thinking.

We are in contact with the web host about this issue (again) and until they offer a resolution, there's very little we can do. If there was something we could do to make sure this doesn't happen again / continue to happen, we would however these issues are generally out of our hands at they are happening with the web hosting company's server - something over which we have zero control. Trust us: we are just as frustrated as you are!

Thank you for your patience, understanding and cooperation.

Another symptom of the same server issue is board unavailability. This means you'll get error notices that the page won't load, can't be found or the site is under construction.

This is a known problem and we are still working with the web host folks to have them ascertain where the problem is on their end. There is nothing we can do about it until the host fixes things on their end. Please refrain from posting about it as it's a waste of your time, effort and energy. We're already aware of the issue and are working as hard as we can to remedy it - for once and for all.

Thank you for your patience.
