I put money in a vending machine, and it did not provide me with my drink. So I got a pen and wrote "Broken" across it, without even looking around to make sure no one was watching.

Will it ever end? :shock :shock :loco

So you wrote on the machine itself rather than paper taped to the machine?

When I found myself re-acting to situations rather than productively acting in them, I would work the Five Steps retroactively. In other words, working the 5 steps on a problem that had already past helped me to understand my thought process for the original problem AND gain ideas for how I actually do want to handle a similar situation in the future. For me, it wasn't even usually about the action (in this case, writing on the machine) but rather the emotions and thoughts that went into the action that I had to address.

Not unless you end it. ;) Life doesn't have to continue along the same path it always has, but there has to be internal change or modification to find a new way to do things . You can make situations like this a thing of the past. Working the 5 steps and then Untwisting any thoughts or emotions that I find. You can do this, but you have to get to work. Why not start with the 5 steps? :biggrin

Not much thought came in to the equation at all, believe me. I'd had no sleep for 5 days at the time, but after reflexology I have been sleeping again, thank god.
