I recently discovered my "weird" behaviors over the past 15 years are spot on with BPD. I have an appointment scheduled with my primary care Dr. to get a referral but in mean time I want to get other's thoughts on my symptoms. Here is what I battle on a regular basis:
1. Self destructing behavior including binge drinking, gambling, smoking and drinking and driving without concern of consequences. This is very unpredictable and I would say it occurs once every 2-3 months.
2. Very sensitive in professional and casual relationships. I take offense to things that I probably should not. I hold grudges for a while about the occurance and then I try to be friendly again. I am sure this has ruined many relationships. Sometimes I boil inside because the actions or words of others get me so worked up.
3. I feel very entitled and seek praise.
4. My mood swings are up and down and on a daily basis. Sometimes I have really high highs and some pretty crummy lows.
These behaviors have been so unexplainable and I could never pin point what was off but I have been reading quite a bit lately and after my last break down I am determined to find an answer. I think I found it. What do you guys and gals think? Any feedback is much appreciated.
