This definitely isn't a relationship post. I'm a bit worried because my mom got a call recently to come back to her doctor to get a second mamogram done. I don't know what they're going to say, but I'm feeling a whole barrel of emotions right now.

There's nothing to worry about until there's something to worry about.

What are your three possible courses of action right now?

Sometimes the original mammogram was a little blurry in a spot and they want to make sure they get a clear view. Sometimes something gets in the way...a little hardened fat, a cyst, and they want another view. It is not uncommon for the radiologist to request extra views. This situation is still a long, long way from any actual bad news.

My mom had a scare a few years back. Turns out, her breasts are fibrous, so they come out weird in the mammogram. Like Ash said, until you know, you don't know.

PeaceRiot~

Yeah, the barrel full of emotions I can understand. I had a scare myself about a year and 1/2 ago. The lump was just a fibroadenoma. Whew! Most of the time, I didn't think about it because I didn't know for sure. I knew that the odds were definitely in my favor of whatever it was that it would be benign (non cancerous).

I feel for your Mom having to go through a 2nd mammo - ouch! Sonograms and an MRI are two other ways for your Mom's Dr. to get a better idea of what is going on.

Hang in there!
