Hi,
Feeling low down and blue this morning. Feel like crying for no specific reason. Sad.

MickBur,

So sorry to hear you're feeling this way, but you are doing something to divert your attention, so that perhaps you will have a fresh perspective on things. I know it helps me to just do something else for awhile.

thanks dagwood. The walk helped. I have BPD with a long history of depression and anxiety. The depression sometimes falls over me out of nowhere. Trying to think good things and divert my attention outward.

You certainly aren't alone. I think this thread is a great example of the importance of support with BPD. It shows just how strong and encouraging words can be and how meaningful they are to someone's morale. I think it also points out how important having an activity in your life is to your well being. For example, MickBur went on a walk when he was feeling anxious and out of sorts. This is a great way for anyone - even those that don't suffer from borderline personality disorder - to keep their mind stimulated and avoid relapsing into addictions or self-harm or just about anything detrimental to their health. That shows a lot of self-discipline and hopefully something he even enjoys so it doesn't feel like an obligation but more like an activity. Great thread!
