I think habits can play a huge part in all of this. Trinity, I recently read the 10 forms of twisted thinking but am curious of any tips you have since you said you went through this exercise. Thanks!

Hi Jordan. I split your question out of me91's thread so we could focus on one subject at a time.

Something that worked well for me was to take a note pad and jot down what I was thinking and how I felt. For example:

- I am such a loser
- Nothing ever goes right for me
- I'm never going to be happy

That's an old list of mine. So I made my list and then sat with that list and the 10 forms of twisted thinking. Can you see the distortion in my thinking. Can you link each statement to a form of twisted thinking? Sometimes it's easier trying to figure it out from the outside before you can use the tool to figure things out yourself. It's all about practice.

Trinity,

Thank you for jotting down those notes. The questions will be good to ponder over.
