Hello.
I'm not sure of what I should start with.
Well, maybe with that : My mother tongue is not English, but I think I cope well. I decided to join you because I have the feeling that writing in English about my personal issues helps me not to freak out about it. The tools you propose looks interesting, I'm going to take a look at it.
I come from the French-speaking part of Belgium.
I'm in a daily hospital that uses on group therapy. But there isn't much help and information about the BPD around here. It's more like "nah you're not borderline. Diagnosis is for people in denial. We're working on the real stuff here."
I'm progressively getting rid of my antidepressor (Effexor) because I don't think it's useful anymore.
I'm physically a guy but I don't want to be considered like one.
I'm an artistic person. I like writing, drawing, and I'd like to perform improvisation theater.
Well, that's pretty much it.
It's 2:10am here and I can't sleep. So I'm going to read your "tools" pages.
See ya.

Hello, Marcus. My name is david, I just found out about bpd and it is revealing so much to me. I am 55, married to my high school sweetheart for 37 years, most of it very intense. I found out Jan. 13 that she had been having an affair with another man for over a year. It made me emotionally distraught and desperate to deal with all the overwhelming emotions, which has led me here. I saw your posting and wanted to reply.

Hi Marcus,

Welcome...your English is very good, BTW. so glad you've found your way here to this site.

Are you saying that your doctors have not diagnosed you as bpd, but you believe you are? This is a good place, some very caring and understanding people around to discuss things with. Hope you can get some help.

dagwood

Hello dagwood, and thank you!
I saw a lot of different psychiatrists. I've been diagnosed by two of them, but generally they don't like to talk about it.
