Hi all

A month ago, a lost my job and was suicidal. I am a long-time sufferer of depression and anxiety and BPD best fit the desciption of my illness.

Now, I am starting a new job in a new city, getting married and have a clear head. I never thought this was possible.

Two things changed this: Zoloft and DBT. Despite decades of therapy, no shrink had ever proscribed Zoloft. It was a revelation after trying lithium, lamictal, paxil, etc. and impacted my life immediately, even at 25 mg/ day.

I have been going to a DBT program at my local hospital which has been great. I have to leave it prematurely as the new job necessitates a move to another city.

It feels so good to feel normal and not depressed/ anxious/ suicidal for the first time in 43 years!

Please ask me anything, I hope my situation can inspire other sufferers to have hope. I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD FIND A WAY OUT.

Peace and love,

Jamie

I'm so happy for you, Jamie. I really am. :)

I've just recently come to realize how depressed I am, and how difficult life has become, because of the depression. I'm taking action steps to tackle my depression now, too.

It's always so encouraging to me to hear a success story. Thank you for sharing yours!

Best wishes on the new job ... and your upcoming marriage!

You've accomplished all that in a month. I think that's quite a record. Congratulations.
